← Larmer Tree Races

First time we had done a WSR event, so did two in the same day!  Started with the half (over 14miles, but we had been warned about this), then returned for the 8m Dark Larmer later that evening.

The race village was friendly, with plenty of food, fab merchandise at reasonable prices and registration was easy.  The race itself was awesome, one of my favourite ever runs!  I ran with a friend and we'd agreed to just go and enjoy it rather than kill ourselves.  The course was tough and varied, the scenery beautiful, and the other runners and marshalls all friendly and up for a laugh.

The Dark Larmer matched this, but had the magic of virtually everyone being dressed in fairy lights or glowing things, so the sight of hundreds of runners making their way through the valley and up Pregnant Sheep Hill was just amazing.

Love Station was fab - offering a whole range of food, drinks, music and a much needed hug.  Hot food for free for finishing the half, and beer and biscuits at the Dark.  And WSR know how to do a medal!

See you at Casterbridge Half in a few weeks time!
