Manchester Marathon is your typical big city event.

well organised, amazing crowd support and well marshalled.

Registration was perfect. Pre-race information was plentyful, baggage system was very smooth.

There was a great atmosphere, in and around race HQ.

Perfect chance to meet friends from twitter and visorclub.

Race itself was entirely on road with excellent support for most of the route.

The course was flat with only the odd slight 'bump' to run up.

This is a PB chasers dream.

Water stations were regular. They contained bottled water and energy gels.

Final mile sees runners get a clear view of the finish line but it seems to take an eternity to get there.

One thing you always get from manchester marathon is a top notch finishers medal and shirt.

Today was no exception. 

Finisher's bag also contained a few idems to eat.

There was also a refreshing pint of 0% alcohol larger. Very welcome.

In summary - Manchester is one of the best city marathons in the UK, in my opinion.

Organisation was absolutely flawless. 

Well marshalled plus having 'race angels' to help runners in latter stages was a nice touch.

Lovely solid medal and finishers shirt and an excellent crowd.

This race ticks all the boxes. It's one I will always do.
