First Marathon for me so I'm going to give the event a lot of love.

Race Village was great inside Old Trafford cricket ground and the organisation was spot on. There were plenty of toilets about with the ones  under the cricket stands with barely any queues.

its easy to see why the event has been awarded the best Marathon in the running awards the last 3 out of 4 years.

Orher than a few short inclines it's flat throughout so very much a PB potential course and the locals of the greater Manchester area make it a very enjoyable experience with their great support and had plenty of sweeties to dish out to runners.

There were a few pot holes around certain parts but nothing the organisers can do about that. They seem like they're everywhere these days

Drink/energy stations were plentiful plus the water was in bottles and at the end you were greeted with a great medal and t-shirt and the option of a free 45 second ice bath, free massage as well as a free Erdinger beer. Happy days
