London Landmarks half was a great half marathon.
But like all inaugural races they all require feedback to improve.
From memory registration online was a nightmare and I managed to qualify first time so I cannot moan.
Race pack arrived on time and was happy with it.
Racebag provided was a bit small but I managed to squeeze everything I required in it. But only just.
Onto the race.
I was in the first batch and of runners and this needs more though as no disrespect I was having to over take runners who clearly should have been at the back, slowing me down and making it hard to over take. So I didn’t enjoy this part.
It took me 3 miles to catch the 1.30 pacer. So the placing of pacers at the start could and should of been better.
Water stations had bottled water and bottled lucozade so not a plastic cup onsite already better than most races.
Toilets were a bit sparse if I am honest.
The course was relitively flat apart from one hill around mile 9 -10.
The medal was really nice and is probably my most favourite one I have collected so far I just love it.
2 things to note, 1) I could of done with a foil to wrap around myself after the race as the bag drop is 5 miles away and I was frozen by the time I got to my stuff.
2) Also a bag for the goodies you receive at the end would of helped, paper bag as we can’t use plastic bags lol lol.
I really enjoyed 99% of the race and would def compete again.
