← Bideford Half Marathon

I’ve done this race several times now and have always really enjoyed it, always around a similar time to Bath half but cheaper and a better start time to allow for travel, race normally starts around 10:30 giving a nice bit of time in the morning to travel. There’s always good parking and toilets facilities before hand.

The race its self is a really nice route, it’s avertisted as “the swift half” don’t be fooled there are a few undulations at the beginning but once you hit half way it’s a dead flat second half along the Tarka Trail on the way back home, making it a good race to get a negative split and try and chase that pb.

There is a band that play twice along the corse and there is a bit of local support on route too, very pretty route and well organised, good value for money for a half

Nice t shirt and medal after, and homemade cake in the club house after (only downsides this can be a little crowded after the race)

All in all I would recommend this one, look forward to racing it again at the weekend :-)
