This has all the makings of a special half marathon, but left me very disappointed. The logistics were good. Bag drop well organised, plenty of toilets, started efficiently and not too crowded.
I was expecting a far more interesting course, but the best way I can describe it is like running through Luton with Tower Bridge in the middle. There was nothing interesting at all. With all the tarmac roads in London you would have thought that finding 13.1 miles of it would be easy, but no there were plenty of cobblestones.
Would I do it again? No. Would I recommend? Not really. If you live local and want to run a half marathon, why not. But I would travel far for it.
