The once per month Chase the moon series is a great addition to the Runthriugh weekend events. The midweek 7pm start runs take place at the Olympic Park in Stratford , a perfect location due to the 24 hour flood lighting that is in existence . The area also has immediate access from Stratford International train station. As always with RunThrough events the registration is a quick and trouble free affair. Should you wish to change anything that may not suit your particular needs the team members will deal with it swiftly there and then. Although the course is highly lit there are just a few darker places on corners etc where the RunThrough team place tripod becon lights for added visibility. Runners are also given glow rigs to wear if they wish . There is no need to feel you may be running in the dark alone as the marshalling is plentiful and runners both fast & slow fill the course . You can make your choice of 5km or 10km distance , you may start wanting to run the 10km and decide to call it a day at 5km , it’s your choice. Support from marshals is fantastic and encouraging. The famous flapjacks , banana’s and water await you at the end . Of course as with RunThrough tradition the Medals are amazing !
