I only enetered this a couple of weeks ago and before the day it was sold out so I knew it was going to be crowded with over 3300 taking part. The parking was easy if you got there early enough and I was lucky to find a space less than 100 metres from the start so I could sit in the car out of the cold before the race started.

The event had pacers for everybody so I set myself up between the 45 and 50 as I hoped to finish in between. There was good light hearted banter from the announcer before he got us underway and the start was quite steady taking me just over a minute to cross the line. The course was on closed roads with marshalls at all the intersections to keep any stray cars away. The roads were wide to begin with lots of places to pass and a nice flat course besides a little hill at 8k.

Then all to soon it was over and I was finishing with nearly a 2 minute PB so I was more than happy. The goodie bag was a nice PE type of bag with a draw string closure, with a huge flap jack and haribo inside with a nice medal to go with it. Nicely organised and local so I'll be back next year.
