← Wilmslow Festive 10K

The WIlmslow 10k started up in 2016, but despite this only being the second one, you wouldn't have been able to tell.

Race packs out in good time, well organised parking (including shuttle bus) and everyone seemed to know what they were doing.

The course is on closed roads winding out of Wilmslow and skirting around the edge of Mobberley. Once out of the town it was quiet countryside (albeit awakened by the sound of just under 2500 pairs of feet - and a dog).

Very well marshaled, clearly signed and with distance markers in the right place. Just the one water-station mid course, and water at the end.

The first half of the course is downhill with the second half being mostly flat with a couple of short inclines. It's a fast course. The pacers seemed to be pretty much on the ball from what I could see.

It's ideal for a fast time or a first timer. I wouldn't want the field of runners to be any larger than it was as the beginning was a bit of a squeeze although it did thin out pretty quickly.

Good job RunNorthWest, good event.

Our paces at both the Wilmslow 10k and Alderley Edge events have been brilliant and we’re so grateful for their support. We hope to welcome you back next year and thank you once again for your review. - Run North West
