Online registration was easy to complete and my race number arrived in plenty of time.
Arrived by train and headed to the leisure centre, well sign posted and no problems with the bag drop.
The queue for the toilets were long but due to the number of portaloos outside it was not an issue.
The start line was clearly marked and the compare warmed the runners up.
The route was clearly marked and pacers were on hand, the route was quite flat upto around the 7/8 K mark. There was a steep-ish hill and once up and over the route was back to being flat.
The water station was at the 5K mark and although I didn't take a drink it was very well organised.
The support at the finish line was great and pushed me on to finish almost 3 minutes faster than my previous PB.
Once through the finish line water was available along with the goody bag. The bag contained the well earnt medal, a big flap jack, haribo sweets, a reflective strip and a foil blanket.
The blanket came in handy as it was raining and it was about a 15 minute walk back to the station, although there was a shuttle bus service provided.
This was my first time running this event and I certainly will be running it again next year
