Only my 3rd time of racing at 10 miles so while it was a week after my marathon I felt OK about going after a PB!
However the weather would have something to say about that, with the coast being battered by Storm Brian so much that the races on the Saturday were cancelled.
Sunday morning arrived and after a walk to the start, set off for a mile and a bit into the wind which was OK. In fact I was on my target pace for 8 miles until I turned back into the wind for the final 2 miles....then I slowed alot, as the wind was very strong.
Anyway, no PB, but another medal to add to the collection. It's definately a PB course as it is flat, however if the weather is against you, there is no shelter along the coast for those final 2 miles.
Good logistically though as start and finish are close together.
